About DC Dance of LA
For the past 31 years, DC Dance LA has been and will continue to be a place where children build a strong foundation in dance and theatre within a supportive, nurturing environment. Our classes are thoughtfully designed to support each child’s physical, mental, and emotional growth while fostering confidence, creativity, and a positive sense of self—skills they will carry with them far beyond the studio. All classes are directed and taught by Ms. Diane Collins, alongside a team of highly qualified, passionate instructors. The DC Dance LA staff takes great pride in creating a loving, encouraging atmosphere and is dedicated to instilling a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts in every child.
DCLA PROGRAMS
Mini Movers
We offer pre-ballet classes starting at age 3-4.

Plus Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Acro classes for dancers aged 5-9 who are ready to move bigger, train stronger, and have fun while leveling up.
Young Artists
We offer a mix of classes for ages 10–18+, spanning multiple styles and levels, with ballet as the foundation—designed to challenge, inspire, and keep dancers loving every step.
Performace Companies
DC Dance LA Performance Companies auditions in May and August. From Nutcracker and community shows to top competitions and conventions, dancers train hard, perform often, and build lifelong friendships—perfect for those ready to commit, level up, and truly live for dance.
DCLA COMPETITIVE TEAMS
DC Dance LA trains and competes at the nation’s top competitions and conventions, including Dance One Events (24 Seven, Nuvo, Jump, The Dance Awards) Hall of Fame, West Coast Dance Explosion, and more. We offer a wide range of leveled competition teams, all built on growth. With a focus on teamwork and learning at every event, our program builds confident performers through dedication, discipline, and lots of love for the process.
ELEVATE
DCC Elevate is an exclusive extension of DC Dance LA, designed for dancers ready to take their training, artistry, and well-being to the next level in a pre-professional environment. DCC Elevate equips passionate, committed dancers with the tools to succeed in the professional dance world or at the university level.

At the heart of DC Dance of LA, we believe in building a strong sense of community among our dancers. Our studio is a place where friendships are formed, and connections are made through a shared love for dance.

We strive to motivate and inspire our students to reach their full potential.
