Marissa is from Honolulu, Hawaii where she grew up training in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, hula, and Tahitian dance. She started dancing with a Drill Team at the age of 4 and over the years developed a passion for teaching as well as choreographing. In 2015, she moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA where she was able to pursue her interests and immerse herself in the university’s vibrant hip-hop community. What she loves most about dance is that it allows individuals to express themselves, build confidence, and collaborate with others. She is really excited to be sharing her love for dance at the DC Dance Center!
