Cierra graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.F.A. in Choreography and a B.F.A. in Performance. She grew up in Los Angeles, California and has trained in contemporary, modern, jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, and various styles of aerial arts including tissue and hoop. She was a member of Modern Dance legend Donald McKayle’s Etude Ensemble, performing his older and more recent repertory. She trained and performed with Sheron Wray’s Jazz Dance company, JazzXchange, working with philosophies of improvisation and live music. She was featured in the Johnny Hallyday music video de l’amour. This past year, Cierra was the Co-Chair of Bare Bones Dance Theater, a dance organization promoting outreach that put on numerous shows on the UCI campus. In her earlier years she danced and competed with Talent Lab’s dance company directed by Nikki Blakeslee and Susie Bellows. Cierra choreographed for numerous shows at UCI, as well as created a full-length dance concert of original work for her B.F.A. in Choreography. She has also choreographed for El Camino Real High School and for Talent Lab Dance and Aerial Arts.
